Starting now, there are new regulations that will affect passport applications for minors.

From now on, every minor will have to come in person to Sydney or Melbourne to apply for their passport. Unfortunately, the application can no longer be done by mail.

When handing over the passport at the Consulate, minors over the age of 12 must come in person as well, accompanied by the person who has parental authority over them.
