Australian Football International will host the inaugural World 9s tournament on Saturday 16 February from 10 am. The venue is  Lakeside Stadium in Albert Park. The competing teams are: Chile, Ireland, Italy, Malta, New Zealand, South Africa, Switzerland and Team Harmony.

This tournament has seen modifications to the traditional Aussie Rules. Indeed, the Rules are made to fit the size of rugby and soccer fields rather than the cricket fields where the “footy” originated. This modified game is open to all Nations!
