On Monday the 17th of August, the Alliance Française of Melbourne organised a ceremony in memoriam of Warren Fagan: a plaque was unveiled in his honour.
Warren Fagan was the President of Alliance Française de Melbourne for 12 years, from 1997 to 2009. Moreover, he had been at the head of the Australian Federation of Alliances Françaises from 2004 to 2010. In 2012, Mr. Fagan received the insignia of Chevalier in the Order of the Légion d’Honneur from the French Republic for his long standing commitment to the French language and culture as well as his engagement in favor of universal values such as Equality, Justice and Equity.
For this occasion, Gilbert Ducasse, President of the Alliance Francaise and Serge Thomann, President of French Assist and Councillor for the City of Port Phillip, said a few words to pay tribute to Warren Fagan.
