The Melbourne French Theatre Inc. is looking for talented actors to play 6 roles in their upcoming production of Exit the King (Le Roi se meurt) by Eugène Ionesco, due to hit the stage in September 2015.

Exit the King, tells the tale of an absurdist drama, following King Berenger I in the final day of his life surrounded by a decaying kingdom, as he refuses to acknowledge his pending death and slowly acquiesces to its reality. Part Marx Brothers, part Existentialism, this reimagining of Ionesco’s most accessible and linear absurdist play is sure to be a hit.

Auditions will take place Saturday, June 13 2015 at 2:00 pm, and Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 7:00 pm at La Maison de Maître. The performance is entirely in French with English surtitles, so fluency in French is a must. For more information on the upcoming auditions, visit MFT online.
