On Thursday 17 October during the morning, CAMBERWELL PRIMARY SCHOOL has showcased its “Grande Lessive“!
If you haven’t heard of it, here is the concept : twice a year, in the whole world, people from various backgrounds gather to create an art work together called Grande Lessive. This temporary installation is made of A4 size plastic productions (drawings, paintings, numerical images, collages, visual poetry etc) that are hanged on taut strings with clothespin, in private and public spaces.
This French artistic initiative was launched by visual artist Joëlle Gonthier in 2006 with several objectives: the promotion of artistic practice, artistic education and teaching, support for contemporary creation and the development of social ties.
