The Australian Historical Association’s 2020 annual conference that was planned from 29 June to 3 July at Deakin University Waterfront Campus, Geelong has been cancelled in light of the current situation.
The Institute for the Study of French-Australian Relations Inc was to participate again this year by convening a French Australian Relations stream. The theme of this year’s conference was Urgent Histories. Full information is available at the AHA 2020 conference website.
The relationship between France and Australia has had enduring political, cultural and social impacts on both countries, their respective regions and the world. The conference meant for participants to reconsider established historical narratives in light of these contemporary challenges and transformations.
Watch that space for next year!
