A new French school project in the Northern Suburbs

On Tuesday the 17th of February, Mr. Patrick Teneze, Regional Director of the Agency for the Teaching of French Abroad (AEFE) came to the Honorary Consulate, to meet parents involved in the creation of a new French school project, to be located North of the Yarra River. Also present were representatives of EFM (Ecole Française de Melbourne). The purpose of the meeting was to help and guide the parents to decipher the meanders of the French binlingual education in Victoria.

The chronic lack of vacancies for enrolment in the existing two bilignual primary school of Melbourne (Camberwell and Caulfield Junior College / EFM) have prompted these parents to create a new bilingual school in the Northern Suburbs.
