Support the French Trust Fund!

The University of Melbourne’s French Trust Fund invites alumni, friends and other Francophiles to attend the French Trust Fund Reception on Thursday, June 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm for refreshments and canapes at University House, Professors Walk.

The event will feature guest speaker Phoebe Weston-Evans, who will guide us through the mysterious world of recent winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, Patrick Modiano. Phoebe has recently written a translation of Modiano’s novel Accident Nocturnewhich is due to be published by Yale University Press and Text Publishing.

We will also hear from Paul Soyez, recipient of the 2015 French Trust Fund Travelling Grant, who is currently doing his doctorate on the history of the French-Australian relationship since the end of the Cold War.
