On Monday, February 9th, was held an Ecumenical Service for the Opening of the 58th Parliament of Victoria in St Paul’s Cathedral, in presence of the Governor General, the Hon. Alex Chernov, Members of Parliament and leaders of various religious Faiths.

The Most Reverend Dr Philip Freier delivered a well thought of sermon, rejoicing over the resilience of our democracy and lauding the commitment and the goodwill of all members of Parliament and Public Office bearers. It was a timely and lovely reminder that acts of kindness and generosity towards others are very gratifying and peace-promoting.
