FACET and DFAT meeting at the French Consulate

On Wednesday, February 22nd, representatives of the academic partners of the French Australian Center for Energy Transition, [FACET], Melbourne-based Swinburne University, Paris-based CEA Research and Innovation Center, and Grenoble-based Université Grenoble Alpes, gathered together at the Honorary Consulate of Melbourne with representatives of the Australian DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade).

This meeting was held during the first official tour in Australia of the French research partners of FACET. The French delegation had meetings with companies and universities in Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth to identify initial collaboration projects. Already, 16 companies based in Australia wish to form a partnership with FACET.

Open to partners from universities, research and technology organizations as well as industries, FACET will enable joint activities in innovation, research, education, and training, with a strong focus on energy transition, through leadership, low-carbon energy production, and supply chain decarbonization.
