Palmes Academiques Award Ceremony to Prof Véronique Duché

The National Gallery of Victoria hosted on Friday 29 July the “Palmes Académiques” Award Ceremony, during which the Ambassador of France to Australia H.E. Mr Christophe Lecourtier presented the award  of Palmes Academiques to Professor Véronique Duché, A. R. Chisholm Professor of French and Convenor of French Studies, School of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Melbourne, for her major contribution to French national education and culture.

This event was followed by a guided tour of the exhibition “Degas, A New Vision” presented by its curator, Ted Gott. and was concluded with a cocktail gathering fellow Arts alumni and friends from the wider French and francophile community.
