From Tuesday 29 September to Sunday 4 October, as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival, a cabaret-style show called Exposing Edith will be performed at the Melba Spiegeltent in Collingwood.
A breathtaking cabaret tale about the legendary Edith Piaf, the show honours her life, loves, soul and songs and celebrates the centenary of her birth. It will showcase many Piaf favourites, in French as well as in English, including “La vie en rose”, “Padam”, and “Non, je ne regrette rien”, alongside lesser-known gems. Each performance will be punctuated with touching stories from the singer’s life.
Exposing Edith has been described as one of the best Piaf shows ever seen and has just finished a very successful tour in Auckland. Performed earlier this year at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, where it was a roaring success, Exposing Edith is bound to appeal to Melbourne audiences.
