What’s on at Alliance Française in June and July…

So much is happening at Alliance Française in Melbourne this winter!

The 2014 VCA Graduates Alliance Française Award Exhibition will be held from June 3 to July 3, 2015 in the Eildon Gallery, featuring the work of seven young and outstanding students from the Victorian College of the Arts.

There will be two book presentations this month, with Savoir-Vivre in the 21st Century: A Guide to the Art of Living in France by Nadine de Rothschild on June 13 and Ransacking Paris by Patti Miller on June 24.

The Fete de la Musique 2015 will take place on June 18th and 19th at the St. Kilda Library and the Prince Bandroom, featuring a variety of school bands, classical ensembles and local musicians.

Enjoy a French film and a glass of wine with the Cine-Club for the screening of 9 Mois Ferme (9 Months Stretch) on June 5 in the CBD, and La Cour Babel (School of Babel) on June 25 in St. Kilda and July 3 at the Alliance Française’s CBD location. 

The interactive “1914-1918” Exhibition is still on until November 27, 2015, commemorating the Great War.

And be sure to visit the Victoria State Library for the Bastille Day French Festival on July 18 and 19, celebrating the French National Day with French food and wine, markets stalls and plenty of entertainment!
