Bastille Day is the national day of France. As Victoria did not have a centralised event to celebrate the 14th of July, the various local French-Australian associations and clubs decided to create a French-themed festival, assembling stands, stalls and activities as well as a cultural programming that would serve as a showcase of all things French, celebrating its History as well as the France of tomorrow.
Please mark your calendar for the weekend of July 18th and 19th, 2015 and check the website ! It will be a first !
Selected after a private tender process targeted to Victorian event managers, the French Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is developping a fantastic program which includes film screenings, conferences, book readings, and artistic performances.
The venue will be the centrally located State Library of Victoria. Several stalls have been reserved to sell food, wine and other French products. If you know of potential stall holders, please spread the word and download the Exhibitor Registration Form.
If you or your friends would like to practice your French while helping on the day, the volunteer program has opened. Please register your interest by completing the Bastille Day French Festival volunteer form
