The luxury hotel sector is expanding into the heart of Melbourne’s city centre with the opening of its ‘Le Méridien’ hotel, which took place on March 16, 2023.

Located at 20 Bourke Street, a few meters away from the Parliament, it redynamises this end of the Street.  The 12-storey property features an exterior art deco façade and mid-century inspired interiors. While its ground floor attracts travelers for its café, bar or restaurant, the rooftop charms them with its 18-metre heated pool and a stunning views of the Parliament House.

The Honorary Consul of France in Melbourne, Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, had the honour and the pleasure of attending the opening ceremony in company of Lord Mayor Sally Capp. It was a beautiful and sunny day, with guests and representatives from  the French community enjoying the Meridien’s hospitality.
