In 2022, the first tour of the French Presidential elections will take place on April 10 and the second tour on April 24.
The vote to elect the Members of Parliament will follow shortly after, with two tours as well, on 4 June and 18 June 2022.
Voting abroad: compulsory voter registration! Beware of the deadlines to register… before the 4th of March 2022, for the Presidential elections!
To vote in the presidential election abroad, you must be a French national, over 18, and be registered on the consular electoral list. The French nationals have two choices in relation to the voting method, either at the ballot box or by proxy.
If you are already registered on the consular electoral list, you can update your electoral situation and update your contact details (residence address, telephone number and e-mail address) on https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F33307
If you are not yet registered on the consular list of electors:
- For the presidential election, you have until 4 March, 2022 to do so.
- For the legislative elections, you have until 29 April, 2022 to do so.
