Visit to Melbourne by Mme Anne Boillon

On the 24th and 25th of  November, as the internal borders between NSW and Victoria had just reopened, Melbourne was delighted to welcome Ms Anne Boillon, the Consul General of France in Sydney for a two day visit.

This was the occasion of a French nationality ceremony, Covid-style, at the honorary consulate, with five newly naturalised French citizens receiving their diplomas before singing the Marseillaise and toasting this happy moment with a glass of Champagne.

The visit of Mme Boillon also included a few associations, seen one by one, as large gatherings are not  possible. The members of the committee of ISFAR enjoyed her company for lunch, as well as the Director of the Alliance Française, while the President of French Assist saw her over dinner.

After meeting the Conseillère Consulaire, Daniele Kemp, for a morning coffee, Mme Boillon was then interviewed by Christophe Mallet of SBS Radio in the offices of Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie, as SBS recording studios were still closed.
