Francophonie Forum in Melbourne!

We announce that the screening of the film Edmond on March 19th at the Kino Cinema will not take place. Indeed, the health and safety of everyone being paramount, Palace Cinemas has decided to close its theatres for an indefinite period.

Nevertheless, the logo contest of the Forum de la Francophonie is maintained. The trip to New Caledonia which is to be won is valid until 2021! We look forward to your participation. The contest rules are available on the Facebook page of the Consulate of France in Melbourne and on that of the Forum de la Francophonie.

Mark your calendars! The Melbourne Francophonie Forum is back in March during the Francophonie week. Do not miss the special event held at The Kino cinema on 19 March, from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm.

After a welcome drink in the foyer, you will watch the poetic movie Edmond based on the life of the creator of Cyrano de Bergerac. A panel discussion will follow the film on the theme of innovation in teaching foreign languages including through culture.

Places are limited, please book here.

An initiative of Professor Véronique Duché of the University of Melbourne and Myriam Boisbouvier-Wylie the Honorary Consul General of France in Melbourne, the Melbourne Francophonie Forum has grown to encompass representatives from the Alliance Française in Melbourne, the Association of French Teachers in Victoria, General Strike and the Ecole Française de Melbourne.

This Forum aims to promote the French language in Victoria to a wide audience, professionals or amateurs, French speakers or French lovers.

Coming up!

The logo design competition of the Francophonie Forum will be launched that evening, after the film screening and before the talk. To be won: a trip for two to New Caledonia thanks to our sponsors!
